Alparslan Pendant Gold

This design was entirely handcarved by Olivia in the earliest years of Cleopatra’s Bling. It has returned in multiple collections as a recurring motif. Cast in ethically sourced gold, it is formed in the shape of a three dimensional lion’s head, suspended below a hinged coil bail.

The name Alparslan, which belonged to a Seljuk sultan, calls to mind the brand’s origins in Istanbul. His emblem, a lion, has been refined across different cultures and periods, from Renaissance Italy to Imperial China, appearing as a guardian of sacred spaces, a celestial force in astrology, and a creature of alchemical wisdom, embodying both destruction and renewal.
